Introduction
Trizol is a ready-to-use reagent for extracting total RNA from samples such as cells and tissues based on the guanidine isothiocyanate/phenol method, which preserves RNA integrity while lysing cells and dissolving cellular inclusions during sample lysis or homogenization. With the addition of chloroform or the chloroform replacement reagent Simgen Buffer EX (Cat. No. 9025-100), the solution is divided into aqueous, mesosphere, and organic phases, with RNA in the aqueous phase. The aqueous phase was taken out, and RNA could be recovered by precipitation with isopropanol. The middle layer is precipitated with ethanol to recover DNA. The organic phase precipitates the recoverable protein with isopropanol.
